Yancey Bros. was born from a family tradition of home improvements starting back in the 1890s in the San Joaquin Valley. Yancey Lumber Company was founded in 1892 by Thomas Grayson Yancey in Newman, California. It is from these simple beginnings of lumber sales for residential and commercial construction that have lead to five consecutive generations building careers in the home improvement industry. Thomas Yancey’s grandson, Joel Yancey, traveled to Sacramento in 1939 to expand the family’s business by creating the Yancey Company.

Tom and Ty Yancey

In 1989, Joel Yancey stepped down after many years of growing the diversified and profitable business. Since then, Ty and Tom Yancey (Joel's grandsons) have carried on the tradition of excellence, focusing on residential home improvement. Both Ty and Tom bring many years of diversified construction and business experience to continue the Yancey legacy of delivering quality home improvement products and services in Northern California.
